Lead engineer on RAAD, Somalia's first nationwide Electronic Health Record, serving over 100 clinics. I lead its development end to end, from architecture through performance and deployment, and have shipped production systems across healthcare and multi-tenant SaaS since 2023.
Now moving toward AI research. I fine-tuned speech recognition for Af Maay, a low-resource Somali dialect, and built the RAAD AI Assistant, an offline retrieval system over clinical records. I am working through the foundations on my AI research roadmap, currently in Machine Learning.
